Ok, my last game was with Drizlin, the drow rogue. Not a lot went on at first, we stopped by a city, they had an excuse to go and buy some gear, they got war horses, Driz stuck with his horse. This is important for a little later.
On the boat ride there Zoe and Driz had a long talk. During the talk he told her how much he loved her, and that he was hurt that she used him. She tried to tell him she wanted to be with him because she felt he had other lovers and never got attached to them(i.e. “you’re a slut”). He explained to her the reason was they always were up front about wanting just sex, nothing more, she told him she wanted him. He was going to arrange to get her a nice officer in Grayhawk or something but she insisted it was him. He waited to see if she would tell him the real reason, but she still did not, so he only twisted the knife in there a little longer, and left her dejected looking. He wanted to laugh because she was becoming so pained over all this. He is starting to hatch a plot to swing her away from her own goddess.
We collected some information that traveling up the coast by boat was bad because the country we were passing through stopped boats to conscript people into their navy. So we chose to hoof it up the coast. Nothing much happened for the next few days.
When they finally came to the edge of the realm of Uze(a dark godling who is controlling some territory to the north) we hit a city called Critwall. Outside the city was a whole tent city of refugees of people who have been pushed down by the undead and orcs. As we rode through the camp, Driz picked out a half orc, Joseph, and was going to pay him a silver a day to make sure his horse was ok when he fought. You see, unlike the war horses, his horse might run off when he dismounted. Well, he also paid for the boy to send his family back to Greyhawk because he was going to be sending his wages to them anyway, along with a box with a pair of hands in it from a man who thieved from him in the city(one of the perks of being in good with the thieves guild) and a marker to let the connections he has know to hook them up with work.
Zoe was upset that I was making him walk and put him up on our pack horse. We had a lunch in Critwall and the dwarf did not join us because it was in the temple of the dragon got. Trassk and Nightblaze, the dragon born, spoke with a dragon we were not privy to. After we left, we went to the front lines.
We had to cross the border by night, and Driz of course was being nice and courteous to Zoe. So we crossed into enemy territory, and of course met up with a group of orcs with a human in the lead. We beat them, of course(not much of a hero group if we did not) and Driz convinced them to capture the human. They could use him to evade the other patrols, and if not Driz could always sacrifice him to his Goddess to help keep them hidden.
